Summer is here!

Hi everyone!

It has been so long since we have posted any news so get ready for lots of info!  I spent the year in preschool at St. Monica.  I had a blast!  We had a Christmas program, a spring concert, took a field trip to watch make them make the doughnuts at Dunkin' Donuts, and made enough crafts to cover 37 refrigerators.  I will be heading to Crooked Creek in a few weeks to start kindergarten.  My friend Meme will be there so I am really looking forward to it.  We went to the beach with Grandma and Grandpa for Spring Break, have been hiking, biking, skateboarding and climbing at a bunch of parks, swimming at Gran Jane and Bumpa's and getting together with friends from preschool.    I absolutely love summer and so do Mommy and Daddy.  The most exciting thing of the summer is our new puppy....her name is Daphne.  She is a blast!  We love to play chase and, man, is she getting fast!

.

Love and miss you all,

Jack

My Daddy can engineer anything.  Check this out, I told mommy and daddy i wanted to fly so daddy did this....

Perfecly safe, daddy said he didn't need no calaulator to do the physics.

School!

Yes, you read it correctly, I started school. I don't know who had a tougher time with it -- me or my mommy and daddy -- but I am officially in preschool now. I am making lots of friends and learning new things. My favorite friend right now is Harrison because he makes me laugh. Here is a picture of me on my first day.

Luckily, my sobbing mommy is behind the camera. I still don't like saying goodbye in the morning, but once I am there I have a blast. We make crafts, sing songs, learn spanish, play instruments in music class and head to the playground for my favorite part of the day.....recess! I even get to eat lunch in the cafeteria. I love my teachers Mrs. Exline and Mrs. Faulk too. I know it has been a long time since I have written. I would say that I will have Mommy and Daddy update this more often -- but hey, I say that in every post and it never works. We'll do our best :) Here are some pictures from our adventures this summer.

Aunt Sam came to visit last week. We went to the Irish Festival and then visited Grandma, Grandpa and Grandma Phyll. Grandpa had the coolest kite that we got to fly and Aunt Sam decided to climb trees!

Fall is here now. It is getting chilly and the leaves are starting to fall. I am wrestling with what I should be for Halloween. So far, I have come up with Mario, a ghostie, a superhero and Indiana Jones. Who knows what I will decide in the next month. You can be sure though that there will be photos galore and we will post some for you to see.

I hope everyone is happy and healthy. We miss you all!!!

Peace,

Jack

I am 4!!!!!!

Hey guys! Guess what, I am 4! Mommy and Daddy can't believe it! My birthday always comes at the beginning of summer which makes it even more exciting. I get to have 2 months to hang out with my Mommy and Daddy. We have got some fun plans....the zoo, museums, traveling...... Woops, I am going off topic. I had a really fun birthday party with lots of friends. Grandma even made me a rasberry fluff cake like Max and Ruby's.

I got so many wonderful presents, but I think my two favorites are my house and my fireman's pole. Daddy built my house for me...it is the coolest!!

We have been hitting the playgrounds, going to Monkey Joe's and finding new adventures. Hope we can see you guys soon!

Much love to everyone,

Jack

Here I am......

Once again, Mommy and Daddy have waited far too long since our last post. I don't even know where to begin with catching you up on all of my adventures. In March, we headed off to the beach. I LOVE the beach -- I guess I come by it honestly. Mommy and Daddy would live in a tent on the beach if it was possible. I had so much fun finding shells, helping Daddy catch fish and running. I bet I ran three miles a day. Here are some pictures from our trip:

Then, after we got back it was Easter! It was exciting. We colored Easter eggs and then somehow the Easter Bunny got them and hid them all over the house! He also left me a basket with all kinds of wonderful treats. We also got some new Easter chicks and an extra surprise..........2 Easter ducks! Check it out......

Next post, I will show you some pictures of my birthday........

Peace,

Jack

holy cow!!

What's up with mommy and daddy not posting for my people? What are we in the witness protection program or something? Are the folks trying to take down the man?

Well, to get you up to speed here are a few pictures from months gone by:
We had Christmas, New Years, and Valentines Day. I went sledding by myself, got a chinchilla I named Rainbow and we've done a bunch of other things. Daddy filed something called a tax return and we are planning my 4th trip back to St. George island for Spring Break! We'll put up another post with a few videos for you to watch.
Peace,
Jackster

Trick or Treat

Last year Snoopy, this year, Buzz Lightyear!!!!! I got all dressed up and put on the jetpack grandma made, went to Mae Mae's house and we went to score the candy. It was kind of short lived since it was a Sunday and we all have to get up and go to school but I made the most of it. Check it out!

Mommy teaches me to read

Daddy says this isn't bad for 3 years and 4 months old. Mommy says it will be good for me to learn to read, but I just think it's fun to sound out new words. Check this out..........

Boy in a Bubble

This needs no further comment.............

Making Pumpkins

Grandma and Grampa brought us 3 pumpkins so we decided to make Jack-o-lanterns. The goo on the inside was, well, gooey. We pulled out the seeds and Daddy coated them in butter and salt then cooked them. They taste like popcorn!!! Here's some pictures of the before and after.

When we were done, we made a leaf pile!

Flight Time!!!!!

About a month ago, Mommy and Daddy took me by an airport to watch planes take off and land. Daddy went in and made friends with a man named Jeff who let me sit in a plane. After that I told Daddy and Mommy I wanted to go fly in a plane. Well, sure enough, a few weeks later we were back on our way to the airport where Daddy arranged for me to go flying!!! It was great! We flew up with the clouds and it was a super terrific day! Enjoy!

Goodbye to our Maya-girl

On August 26, we lost our pupper-girl Maya. We are very, very sad. What a good friend she has been and such a huge part of our lives. Before I came along, Maya was the baby. For the most part, she loved it. Well, except for days like these........

You gotta love Mommy and Daddy, they are pretty silly. Then, I came along, and Maya was a bit concerned once she found out I was not just here for a visit..........

But, then, she saw this..........

and she knew I was here to save her from any additional humiliation or costume changes! Hey, I love this dress-up stuff. Then, we became the best of friends.....

I don't really understand this death stuff -- but, who does really? Go Dog Go is one of my favorite books. When I asked Mommy about where Maya is, she explained that Maya is at the big dog party at the top of that beautiful, tall tree. Red dogs and blue dogs, yellow dogs and green dogs, black dogs and white dogs...all at a dog party. I can see her sitting there with Enkidu and Ming Lee holding her ice cream cone and wearing her beautiful party hat. That makes me feel better......for a little while. We miss you Maya and love you more than we could ever say. Goodbye, dear friend.
